The idea for It’s the Credit Crunch came about as a result of a post I did on my personal blog. I read in a newspaper that an upmarket hotel in Dublin had cut back on piano music. They had always hired a piano player for the evening, but decided to only offer music at the weekend citing the “credit crunch” as the reason for the cutback.

Instead of maybe offering better deals in the hotel to get occupancy rates up, they start scrimping on the little luxuries like the piano player who probably didn’t get paid a whole lot anyway.

So that’s the type of story that will feature on this site along with anything else of crunchworthy news.
